Ukrainian Action Marks Landmark 100th Humanitarian Convoy to Ukraine

LONDON, UK– July 6, 2026 — Ukrainian Action has reached another major milestone in its ongoing support for Ukraine, completing its 100th humanitarian convoy from the United Kingdom since Russia's full-scale invasion. The UK-US charity has organised regular humanitarian aid convoys from the UK, on average every two weeks, for nearly four and a half years.
The landmark convoy consists of five vehicles loaded with humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and essential power equipment destined for frontline operators, hospitals, emergency responders, and communities across Ukraine. The convoy was led by Team Leader Rob Baida, who was completing his 18th mission, and greeted in Poland by the Consulate General of Ukraine.
The milestone represents the extraordinary growth of an organisation founded in the earliest days of the war. Jeffrey Hartman, a former US Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Ukraine in the early 2000s, established Ukrainian Action alongside his Ukrainian wife, Natasha, following Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. What began with the delivery of two trucks in early March 2022, driven by Jeffrey and Ukrainian Action Co-Founder and Trustee Matthew Morgan, has since become one of the United Kingdom's largest volunteer-led humanitarian efforts supporting Ukraine.
In over four years, Ukrainian Action has delivered over 500 vehicles into Ukraine, with over 600 volunteers driving humanitarian convoys and more than 1,500 donors helping fund life-saving aid. The organisation has supplied hospitals, frontline groups, emergency services, and vulnerable communities with humanitarian aid, medical equipment, ambulances, generators, power infrastructure, and other essential supplies.
Beyond emergency assistance, Ukrainian Action has expanded its work to address Ukraine's long-term recovery. The organisation operates the pioneering Ukrainian Action Heroes rehabilitation programme in the Carpathian Mountains, where veterans and their spouses participate in a unique recovery experience that combines learning to ski with psychological support, mindfulness practices, and peer-led rehabilitation. Coordinated by veterans and veteran families who previously completed the programme themselves, the initiative provides participants with practical tools to overcome the physical and psychological traumas of combat, captivity, and wartime service.
