Ukrainian Action Appoints Additional UK Trustee

UK charity and US nonprofit was founded in March 2022 to support the survival and recovery of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Action has appointed to its UK Board of Trustees Phil Gardner, Chief Risk Officer at global property services firm Knight Frank LLP in London.
Phil’s appointment is expected to support the continued growth of the organization with particular focus on UK governance, risk management and strategy.
Ukrainian Action has organized over 60 humanitarian aid convoys to Ukraine from the UK, mobilizing over 350 volunteers to deliver over 300 vehicles and hundreds of pallets of critical aid to the country.
LONDON—18 November 2024—Ukrainian Action, a UK charity and US nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the survival and recovery of Ukraine, has appointed Phil Gardner to join its UK Board of Trustees.
UA has appointed Phil Gardner to join Jeff, Natasha and Matthew on the UA UK Board of Trustees. Phil is currently Chief Risk Officer at Knight Frank LLP, the global property adviser, including seats on the People, ESG and Business Services Boards and Risk Committee. He has worked in senior roles across professional services in Europe, the Middle East, and the USA over the last 25 years, including work across strategy, sales, operations improvement, digital and technology projects, data management and risk. Phil has an MBA from Warwick University and executive qualifications in risk and sustainability from Harvard and the London Business School.
He has participated in three Ukrainian Action humanitarian aid missions, driving in two corporate convoys to Poland with his colleagues from Knight Frank, and a third where he served as lead driver.

Ukrainian Action operates transparently to ensure donors and volunteers feel connected to the endeavour. Many donors also volunteer to drive vehicles in UA’s humanitarian aid convoys from London. Supporters may follow convoy shipments and progress through the organization’s Instagram account.
